The fourth Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay Part 2, came into theatres this Thursday, and maintained the high reputation of the previous three movies.
The pg-13 Science fiction film starred Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth Gale.
These three characters have to go against the capitol (their dictatorship government) in hopes of finally creating a peaceful society.
Katniss is “the mockingjay” of this rebellion and is forced to lead and make important decisions for her district. With a group of rebels, she goes on a deadly mission into the capitol, as her team suffers many losses.
Gale and Peeta, both facing inner struggles, are lead by Katniss in this revolution, and each seek her affection.
The scenes and costumes in this movie keep the viewer extremely interested, fantasized by the luxury in the capitol, yet devastated by the poverty in the districts.
As the movie comes to an end, justice is served to many. While many tragedy and deaths occur, the movie ends in peace for the population.
Although sadly this is the last of the Hunger Games movies, it was definitely a good note for the series to end on.
